Hey POP Planet,

IT’S THE END OF THE YEAR!! Go grab a drink and get lit with me! I promised myself that I would intentionally celebrate everyday this month. This year, like every year, went by fast. That is why it is important to reflect so that it will be easier to move forward with a compass in the right direction. As I sit and reflect on this year one word comes to mind - RESILIENCE.

So side story, I watched Star Wars (all of them) for the first time ever.

I felt so aligned with the message because I’ve seen the dark side up close and personal. The dark had asked for my hand, heart and soul over and over again. I was startled because during my growing process, I had moments where I thought my bad thoughts were who I was.

Yet, I was not tempted by the darkness. No matter the mistakes, emotional journeys or whatever - I am light at the core, and the force is with me, in me & around me. I choose to use it for good, because the world needs more of it.

There were many times during the year where I wanted to give up, or pause. But like the great Big Sean once said, BOUNCE BACK. No matter how heavy the load became, my family & friends made the load much lighter with their love & support.

Thus, I implore you: To walk into the new year with LOVE, be it, receive it & share it. Be proud of YOU! AND KEEP BEING A RESILIENT MF!
