Rémi Larson, Norman artist born in Le Havre in 1982, chooses as pseudo BINOKL quickly realizing that most of the characters he represents wear glasses. He draws his inspiration from urban culture (basketball, skateboarding, hip hop...), his artists who influence him (Basquiat, Mode2, DozeGreen, Mist...) and other music. He first traces his universe with black Posca, filling the empty spaces with small or large repeated shapes. His precise and hypnotic style evolves today in a more spontaneous way through new tools and supports: paper, canvas, sheets of wood, glass, etc. After a few years, Binokl discovered workshop work which now allows him to express himself without constraints. In search of harmony, between complexity and minimalism, he intuitively moves towards other, more abstract binoculars.
