Sunset Sorbet
By Eriq Hardiman-Rhone
"Synesthesia: a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. At times, it manifests itself in the form of seeing colors.
Modified: Synths + estisia - the act of seeing colors in musical cords and vocals.
This is the overview for every study between the correlation of sound+color we attempt to breakdown through the Synthsestia playlist series.
More often than not, music controls our moods and those moods are associated with specific colors, environments, and personal situations we are all subjected to on a day to day basis.
Today we showcase the first three colors of the series, defined as the "Sunset Sorbet" collection.
BLUE
Through Blue you'll experience feelings of peace in solitude, the imagery of peace, reflections of moments from the past now solidified in your history as staples that made you who you are.
Rejections that were hidden blessings, relationships that ultimately didn't serve the person you were called to be this playlist is a pleasant stroll down memory lane. In simpler words of Kelly from Insecure "You know what I call that? Growth".
PINK
With Pink, it's important to know this is not your average bright cotton candy dream of pink. Allow the vibes to carry you through summer sunsets, when the sun sits on the horizon and blooms as the evening awakens. Feel, live, and find more of yourself and wonder about the future that is to come. Pink is the light in the darkness that pulls you forward.
YELLOW
Lastly, Yellow is the evening sun, the confidence, the warmth, the positivity we can only give ourselves. Yellow, lights up the soul and lights the way for the soul.
Allow your soul to be transported, but not a ride, this time you’re in the counselor seat. Listen and experience the music as a conversation you’re holding throughout the day.
What Color best describes you?
The Synthsestia series constantly asks so there can be a sound for every mood. The things we feel often live through the sounds we hear, and healing can come through our perception of what's to come. Allow Synthsestia to be a tool to help guide the way into your own personal color.
