The Sun Sees Us All

Curated by Good Omen Collaborators

What are your silent thoughts that touch the sky above? What ideas are carried with the wind? What are your conversations like?

The sun sees us all. A truer statement cannot be made when talking about Good Omen collaborators & adopted Texans - Dame and EQ. The history of the two has constantly mixed around their love of giving creation a voice, and with their 20 song playlist “Conversations with the Sun” their voice is heard loud and clear. The playlist follows the story of the Day & the various conversations and emotions the Day conveys with the Sun.

The Day feels empowered and joyous for life (beginning with Everybody Loves the Sunshine by Roy Ayers), followed by moments of flex and the uncertainty of making it from one day to the next (Gold Teeth by Blood Orange).

The spiritual detour of the playlist guides the listener as the Day seeks refuge & being sanctified under the hand of God. It tries to seek counsel from the Sun about its’ many conflicted emotions & relationships before the woes of reality come crashing back into frame.

As the muse is set to the side to dry we are left with Sun streams breaking our shade. “Conversations with the Sun” personifies who we all are and have been on the days we tend to never forget.

The duo continues to strive to find ways to further push story telling with the tools they have been given. The term “the skies limit” might not be as true as we once thought. Just ask the sun. More coming soon from Good Omen.
