East Side Forever

On June 9, 2020 Generation POP suffered an incredible loss - the passing of our dear friend Eric Estrada. Gifted to this world on October 15, 1983 Eric was born in New York City and quickly became a New York legend.

Known by everyone for his genuine kindness, his deep intellectual mind and love of skating, Eric was a one-of-a-kind ultra light beam. Long before his passing Eric was an example of what a full life can and should be - passionate, creative, romantic, and authentic.

To Eric - Thank you for showing us your vulnerability, compassion, higher knowledge, and love. Thank you for making us your family from Day 1 and the once in a lifetime memories. You are proof that every soul is a teacher and every moment we have on this Earth is important. Harlem will always be Harlem because of you.

Even as the seekers of change in the Revolution, Generation POP has itself felt how painful change can actually be. We asked for a new world. We had no idea it would mean the loss of our own along the way.

The truth is that change comes with surprises. It comes with heartache. It may bring you a new beginning you’re not even ready for. We want you to know that we are not only devoted to recording these historic times, but that we are also feeling every ounce of the chaos right next to you.

Luckily, endings mean beginnings. So, we sent our Eric home with a bang.

We love you EMONEY!
