Green Mirrors

By Laurén J. Green

Leaves are born every day

Next to my bed of dreams

Pulling away and twisting

Does it hurt when they bloom

Pushing through soil into human space?

I am thankful you’re here

Thank God you’re here

Green mirrors are a blessing

Adorned with bright auras and cleansing secrets

It’s a blessing you’re here

A healer bathed in sunlight

We’re connected by breath

Your qi is my prana

My exhale, your inhale

Thank God we have each other

God made us for one another

Week after week you grow taller

Do you see the same in me?

A week without water a defiant stem appears

How dare I complain when I am nourished with love every day

You stand taller without water every day

Thank God for you- Earth’s own messenger

If you’re wondering your purpose

Know that it’s filled

With bold veins and green aims

You sing in silence

My green mirror
