Meet Donovon

Donovon Alexander

I was born on the south side of Chicago as the youngest of six. My mother is a retired police officer, and my father is a businessman with a focus in Accounting. I’ve been modeling since I was 10 years old. Aside from being the youngest, I was always the different child; being that my first love was basketball in a football oriented family. Expressing my love for the arts of film and fashion only pushed me further from the “norm” I was inevitably apart of. I believe that’s where my spirit of resilience commenced, which has been my guiding shield throughout life. I always knew I would move to New York. What I didn’t know is how I would get here. A lot of times, on the south side, big dreams can seem impossible to obtain. I moved to New York City on July 16, 2019 realizing my dreams were now goals, and I had boxes to check off. Since being here, I’ve been featured in Pyer Moss’ Collection 3 campaign, VOGUE, VOGUE ITALIA, Paper Magazine, and Kaltblut Magazine to name a few. I also curate and produce my own material shown in my portfolio. I am very passionate about my art and representation. I like to think of myself as a visual artist showcasing my art through various looks and androgynous energy. I strive to be a beacon of inspiration for children that are ostracized for their differences, and to reflect the progression our society needs.
