Meet LYSH
Alyssia McCloud
LYSH welcomed writing as a part of her identity in 2017 as a senior at Clark Atlanta University. While serving as Miss CAU, LYSH hosted an event where she was able to perform her poetry publicly for the first time, openly speaking of her battle against her mental health after losing her sense of self-worth in unhealthy relationships. Since that time, LYSH has written and self-published her first book of poetry, entitled "The Sunflower Project;" which tells LYSH's story navigating love, relationships, faith, trauma, and triumph. LYSH's art speaks to the beauty in humanity, the desire to live a God-pleasing life and all of the struggles in between. LYSH writes for the survivors, the broken and those who have been hurt or deterred in their efforts to have relationship with Christ. LYSH believes that her witness as a Christian millennial and narcissistic abuse survivor makes her testimony unique and engrossing, but also relatable and trustworthy. LYSH clings to her faith while vulnerably sharing her experiences in living, as she continues to become; LYSH believes that she has been called by God to use her gift and her voice to represent Him and all facets of His love. LYSH is a public speaker, life coach, and performer of poetry.
