Nigerian contemporary artist, Abe Ogunlende is a painter, designer and sculptor who draws inspiration from minimalist compositions, and sociocultural themes related to common global identities and experiences. With works featuring acrylic pastel colors, dark skin portrait subjects and expressed through a simplified visual language; Abe’s paintings require the viewer to bridge the gap between representational and abstract elements in his work, allowing for new perspectives on established subjects and ideas through simple compositions.
